New staff

We are delighted to welcome Sandra back, some of you may remember her previous visits from the University of Tübingen, where she recently defended her PhD. We all congratulate her on that well deserved success. Her email address remains, sandra.gesing@uni-tuebingen.de. She can be found in room IF5.22. We will be working together on a graphical editor for DISPEL that also forms a proof-of-concept for a really versatile web-based generic workflow editor.

We welcome Dr Paolo Besana to the Group, who will be working on data-intensive computing machinery.
Paolo is in Room IF5.22.

We welcome Alessandro Spinuso and Luca Trani who have joined us on the ADMIRE project. They previously worked for the Royal Netherlands Institute for Meteorology (KNMI) on ORFEUS, the centre for seismology research for Europe.

They are both in room IF5.38.

We welcome Michelle, who is going to work on the ADMIRE project. She is in office 5.22.

We welcome Laura, who will be working on the DGEMap project until the end of July 2009.

We welcome Gagarine, who is going to work on two projects: ADMIRE and New Generation Embryology. He is in office 3.09.

We welcome Mark, who is going to work on the DGEMap project. Mark is a CEO of http://www.gulfstream-software.com/ and received his PhD from the School of Informatics.

We welcome David, who is going to work on both the FireGrid and NRP project. David previously lectured in the School of Informatics.

We welcome Jean, who is going to work on the Developmental Gene Expression Map project for the next couple of months. Jean previously worked at the MRC Human Genetics Unit.
