Biography

Jos is a returning research associate at the Data Intensive Group at the University of Edinburgh. He worked for a year on the AURIN Project at the University of Melbourne, Australia, designing and implementing a collaborative web based system for urban research. Before that Jos was a research associate at the UKs National eScience Centre in Edinburgh and was involved in the Rapid job submission portlet generation system and several eScience projects such as 'Bridges', 'Dyvose' and 'GridQTL'.

His research interests are in Data Intensive Systems, Distributed Databases and HPC systems. He has an MSc from University of Twente in the Netherlands and a PhD from the University of the West of Scotland (formerly the University Paisley) in the UK.
