The Centre for Systems Biology, University of Edinburgh, UK

The Centre for Systems Biology at Edinburgh is a Centre for Integrative Systems Biology (CISB) funded by BBSRC and EPSRC in 2006. CSBE's research goal is to develop broadly-applicable methods and large-scale infrastructure for modelling the temporal aspects of biological phenomena. A key emphasis will be to link diverse data and models tightly, through multiple iterations, ranging from static ab initio models to highly-constrained, kinetic models that cross multiple scales. This continuum of modelling approaches reflects the realistic evolution of a systems-level approach to any and all biological problems.
