The primary objectives of the Institute are
- to conduct research in programming languages, compilers, programming environments and software tools that support the user in the process of solving problems on high-end computing systems,
- to actively contribute to a transfer of technology by participating in joint development projects with application developers and industry, and
- to disseminate knowledge in the fields of parallel computing, Grid computing
and software technology.
