In our conceptual design meeting we discussed components, interface concepts and market trends before we made a few decisions. In terms of components, we investigated what it takes to make a remote control: case, buttons, circuit board (chip) and battery. Also, we took into accound fashion options like curvature. The interface concepts presentation delved into buttons (including pre-set favorites) and additonal display feature choices. We decided against an LCD screen and in favor of a menu option on the television. Additionally, we decided that a kinetic battery and push buttons were most in line with our simplicity focus. Lastly, the trend market discussion geared our attention to rubber/latex materials that offer a squishy feel (also to prevent  and a method of integrating the fruits and vegetable trend occurring this year.
