We started with some information on market research that has been done, then went into the technological fuction of the remote, and how to acheive a good result with that. We settled on a need for a balance between economic and practical concerns, and between novelty and conventionality. We also discussed some exsisting remotes and what they go well and badly. I presented on working design, and a schematic for that. We decided to focus on fashion, usability, and simplicy in our design. Infrared, battery use, interface simplicity are all necessities.
