Conference registration
The fees for registration (in pounds sterling) are
| Early registration (before August 8) | £295 |
| Late registration (after August 8) | £350 |
| Students and speakers | £175 |
The conference registration fees cover admission to the conference, a
copy of the the conference proceedings, refreshments during coffee and
tea breaks, lunches on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the
social events on the Monday and Tuesday evenings.
Accommodation
A number of types of accommodation are available on the University of
York campus, at the following prices (in pounds sterling), per room
per night.

All types of accommodation are available for the nights of the
conference (7, 8, 9 September). Only a limited number of rooms will be
available on the Saturday 6th and Wednesday 10th, and they will be
allocated on a first-come-first served basis.
We can also provide, on request, details of hotels in the city of
York.
Accompanying persons
The registration fee includes the the civic reception on Monday
evening and the cost of the conference dinner on Tuesday. Additional
tickets for the conference dinner are available for acompanying
persons, at a cost of £35. Accompanying persons may also attend
the reception free of charge.
Tutorial registration
Registering for a tutorial will cost £225 before before August
8, and £275 thereafter. The tutorials will all run concurrently,
so it's only possible to attend at most one. The details are available
in the tutorials page.
The tutorial registration fee covers attendance at the chosen
tutorial, tutorial notes, and lunch on the Sunday.
Whether or not a tutorial is actually run at the conference depents of
enough people registering for it. While we hope that all the tutorials
will be presented, we cannot guarantee that they will. For this
reason, you may select a second choice tutorial to attent if your
first choice does not go ahead.
Exhibition
Exhibition space is available for hire by organisations wishing to
display products, tools, services books, and so on. Please contact our
Exhibitions Chair, Darren Buttle (email:dlb@cs.york.ac.uk), for more
information about prices and availability of exhibition space, or look
at the Exhibitions page.
Cancellation and refunds
A refund of fees, less a deduction of £50 for administrative
costs, will be given for cancellations received before 18 August,
1997. 50% will be deducted for cancellations made between 18 August
and 1 September. No refunds can be given for cancellations after that
date. Transfers of registrations may be made at any time up to the
start of the conference.
