GarmB is the descriptor building tool in the GARM suite. GarmB can
be used to create the descriptors used in a network GAR repository.
Descriptors greatly reduce the network traffic caused by reconfiguration.
GarmB is invoked as follows:
garmb url dir files
URL is the base URL for the descriptors to use when describing
the location of the GAR they represent. dir is the location to
store the completed .garx files. Finally, files is a
list of GAR files to generate descriptors for. The location in which
GarmB is executed is significant; in general it is useful to think
of the the URL argument pointing to the directory in which GarmB is
run. See here for a much more complete
discussion of GarmB usage.
