The HCRC Map Task Corpus: Useful XML Software
Home (Top of the HCRC Map Task Website)
All the programs below are available free for non-commercial use.
Particularly relevant are:
- LTXML including sggrep, which works like the grep program in searching a file for regular string expressions and is aware of the tree structure of XML files, and knit which expands hyperlinks in a document.
- RXP, a validating XML parser written in C.
- A library that supports working with heavily annotated language data, including a data model that handles annotations of different types that relate to each other temporally and structurally, search, and graphical user interfaces for browsing and editing data.
- This includes xt, an XSLT processor. XSLT is a stylesheet language which is useful, among other reasons, for transducing the Map Task XML into tailored HTML displays, for viewing in a web browser.
